Epstein 7th Grader To Sing National Anthem at
The Sandy Springs Heritage Concert Series

We are delighted to announce that several talented students from The Epstein School have been selected to perform for the Sandy Springs Heritage Concert Series.   An Epstein 7th grader (pictured)  will be performing  the national anthem at the annual free concert series on June 25, 2006 beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Sandy Springs Historic Site & Park located at 6075 Sandy Springs Circle.  She will open the concert for the very popular local group Banks and Shane.

Banks & Shane will perform as part of Heritage Sandy Springs' 2006 Concerts by the Springs, The Signature Bank Series.  The concert was re-scheduled because of rain.   A Metro Atlanta favorite, Banks & Shane has been entertaining Atlanta audiences for 30 years, with high-spirited renditions ranging from folk to funk and country rock to classic rock.  Their popular concerts include both familiar favorites and original material, and the duo engages audiences with their natural comedic touch.  “We’re really looking forward to celebrating the fun of summer at this concert,” notes Banks Burgess of Banks & Shane.  The band’s CDs will be available for purchase during the concert.

Said Freddie Deutsch, Signature Bank of Georgia President/CEO, “It is a privilege for Signature Bank of Georgia to be a part of the great tradition that is the Tenth Annual Sandy Springs Concert Series.  We are grateful to Heritage Sandy Springs for our partnership in presenting these concerts and look forward to seeing many of our friends and neighbors at these events.”

Also onsite will be a balloon artist from Magic Man Entertainment for children of all ages.  Prior to all concerts, The Williams-Payne House Museum will be open from 5:00 until 6:30 for tours and hands-on activities prior to all concerts.

Slope’s BBQ of Sandy Springs and Bruster’s Ice Cream will sell concessions on-site.   Pre-ordered food is purchased through Doc Chey’s Asian Kitchen, The Grape, Meehan’s Public House and The LOOP Pizza Grill. For limited menu options, log on to www.HeritageSandySprings.org .
