Babies Can't Wait
Babies Can't Wait is a statewide early intervention program for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.
If you know a child age birth to 36 months who
1)has been diagnosed with a condition known to result in developmental delays or 2) you know or suspect is experiencing delays in his/her development,
call (770)514-2357.
Babies Can't Wait offers evaluation and assesment at no cost to families to determine eligibility and services needed. Assistance in developing a plan to enhance the child's development and assists the family in locating needed resources is also offered at no cost. State funds may be available on a sliding fee scale to assist families in paying for specific services which may include: assistive technology devices, audiology services, family training and counseling, health services, medical diagnostic services, nursing services, nutrition services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological services, social work services, speech instruction, speech and language services, transportation, and vision services.
